Florence and the Machine
Ceremonials
“Shake It Out” / Florence and the Machine
And I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart
‘Cause I like to keep my issues drawn
It’s always darkest before the dawn
I also manage keithrichards-
“Shake It Out” / Florence and the Machine
And I am done with my graceless heart
So tonight I’m gonna cut it out and then restart
‘Cause I like to keep my issues drawn
It’s always darkest before the dawn
“Heart in a Cage” / The Strokes
I don’t want what you want
I don’t feel what you feel
See I’m stuck in a city
But I belong in a field
“Lotus” / Cage the Elephant
A billion faces running round my head
All got opinions but the don’t mean shit
Keep droppin’ bombs until the whole worlds dead
They said its all been done and its all been said
They’ll turn this message into a pop movement
A fascist statement, called politics
You can’t mark my words they’ll put a spin on it
They say it’s all been done
“Australia” / The Shins
A dual tone under wall
The selfless fool who hoped he’d save us all
He never dreamt of such sterile hands,
You keep them folded in your lap,
Or raise them up to beg for scraps,
You know, he’s holding you down,
With the tips of his fingers just the same,
Will you be pulled from the ocean,
But just a minute too late,
Or changed by a potion,
And find a handsome young mate,
For you to love.
You’ll be damned to pining through the windowpanes,
You know you’d trade your life for any ordinary Joe’s,
Well do it now or grow old,
Your nightmares only need a year or two to unfold.
“Little Wing” / The Jimi Hendrix Experience
Well, she’s walking through the clouds,
With a circus mind that’s running wild,
Butterflies and Zebras,
And Moonbeams and fairy tales.
That’s all she ever thinks about.
Riding with the wind.
When I’m sad, she comes to me,
With a thousand smiles she gives to me free.
It’s alright, she says it’s alright,
Take anything you want from me,
Anything.
Fly on little wing.

“When the Levee Breaks” / Led Zeppelin
Don’t it make you feel bad
When you’re tryin’ to find your way home,
You don’t know which way to go?
If you’re goin’ down South
They got no work to do,
If you don’t know about Chicago.
And by Stoners, obviously I mean Rolling Stones fans.
I did this before, but I can’t find my list, so I’ve compiled a whole new list of songs by them that every fan new or old, in my opinion, should have in their possession.Just like before, I took all the songs I have on my computer by the Stones, around 550 songs (studio and single versions, live versions, alternate tracks, bootlegs and everything in between), put them on shuffle, and selected the ones that are impossible to pass up. However, I did only include the studio or single versions in this list because adding other things was making this post entirely too long. And thus, here is my list, songs followed by year of original release.
I should just reblog this again before I end up reblogging every song on it instead

“Shattered” / The Rolling Stones
Shattered, shattered
Love and hope and sex and dreams
Are still surviving on the street
Look at me, I’m in tatters!
I’m a shattered
ShatteredFriends are so alarming
My lover’s never charming
Life’s just a cocktail party on the street
Big Apple
People dressed in plastic bags
Directing traffic
Some kind of fashion
ShatteredLaughter, joy, and loneliness and sex and sex and sex and sex
Look at me, I’m in tatters
I’m a shattered
Shattered

“Moonlight Mile” / The Rolling Stones
Oh I’m sleeping under strange strange skies
Just another mad mad day on the road
My dreams is fading down the railway line
I’m just about a moonlight mile on down the road

“In Another Land” / The Rolling Stones
We walked across the sand and the sea and
The sky and the castles were blue.
I stood and held your hand.
And the spray flew high and the feathers floated by
I stood and held your hand.
And nobody else’s hand will ever do
Nobody else will do
Then I awoke
Was this some kind of joke
Much to my surprise
When I opened my eyes.

“19th Nervous Breakdown” /The Rolling Stones
When you were a child
You were treated kind
But you were never brought up right.
You were always spoiled with a thousand toys
But still you cried all night.
Your mother who neglected you
Owes a million dollars tax.
And your father’s still perfecting ways of making sealing wax.You better stop, look around
Here it comes, here it comes, here it comes, here it comes
Here comes your 19th nervous breakdown.

“Monkey Man”/The Rolling Stones
I’m a fleabit peanut monkey
All my friends are junkies
That’s not really true
I’m a cold Italian pizza
I could use a lemon squeezer
What you do?
But I’ve been bit and I’ve been tossed around
By every she-rat in this town
Have you, babe?
Well, I am just a monkey man
I’m glad you are a monkey woman too

“Stray Cat Blues”/The Rolling Stones
You look so weird and you’re so far from home
But you don’t really miss your mother
Don’t look so scared I’m no mad-brained bear
But it’s no hanging matter
It’s no capital crime
(via skyrockettooblivion)

“I Got the Blues”/The Rolling Stones
In the silk sheet of time
I will find peace of mind
Love is a bed full of blues

“Who’s Driving Your Plane” /The Rolling Stones
It was your father who trained you and your mother who brained you
To be so useless and shy
But I just replaced them and tried not to break them
Because you could stand up if you tried
And I wanna see your face when your knees and your legs
Are just gonna break down and die
And, who’s driving your plane?
Who’s driving your plane?
Who’s driving your plane?
Who’s driving your plane?
Are you in control or is it driving you insane?
